1. Primary Osteoarthritis- Primary Knee Osteo-arthritis refers to loss of synovial fluid around joints which is related to aging. Repetitive movement decreases cartilage whereas limited movement increases synovial fluid which causes osteo-arthritis in knees. The joints are rubbed due to movement around affected arthritis knee joints which causes immense joint pain. Primary Osteoarthritis is found in people aged around 55 or more.

2. Secondary Osteo-arthritis- Secondary knee Osteo-arthritis refers to other circumstances such as over-weight, injuries, abnormalities at time of birth, joint operation and any other side affects of disease or condition. Secondary Osteoarthritis is found in people aged around 20, 30 or more. People in profession such as weight lifting, drivers, software and sportsmen believe that they have less chances of osteoarthritis, but the truth is people in software and IT industry have more chances of knee osteoarthritis ie  Secondary Osteoarthritis because of limited and irregular movement.
